BBC Essex Interview

Southend Hospital Radio is always on the lookout for more people to join our team, and we’d like to thank local radio station BBC Essex for allowing us to be interviewed about what we do.

Southend Hospital Radio presenter and PR manager Joe Smith together with Chairman Pete Sipple, appeared on Ray Clark’s afternoon show on BBC Essex on the 13th of June 2014 to talk about what we do. You can listen to the interview using the following link:

We’re currently looking for people to give a couple of hours a week to visit patients on the wards and help out in our studio complex in Southend. Joe Smith, PR Manager:

“It’s not just about going on the radio, it’s talking to people and helping people to relax. We’d like to think that Southend Hospital Radio is someone that the patients can talk to and we’ll talk to them whilst they’re in hospital”

If you’re interested in becoming one of the team at Southend Hospital Radio, please use our Join Hospital Radio page, and we’ll be in touch.
