From the stresses on an HGV driver... to the relaxation of the studio...
I first became involved with Hospital Radio seven years ago by going to the studios one Sunday afternoon, and listening to a show with one of the presenters to see how it was all done.
As I sat in the corner of the studio, I found a mic put in front of me and the presenter just chatted away to me and before I realised it, I was "on air"!
After finding out the history of Hospital Radio and knowing of my own family's past involvement when it first started broadcasting 30 years ago, I wanted to join. I started my training the next week, and when I had finished, I had my own show.
I got involved with outside events, and since joining I have worked my way up to actually running the outside broadcast events which, I have very much enjoyed over the years.
When I am not at Hospital Radio, I enjoy my other hobbies, a good game of golf and sailing out on the open sea.
